UNIGEORGIA at a glance
The mission of the International Teaching University of Georgia (UNIGEORGIA) is to educate Undergraduate students preparing for careers in management, Graduate students aspiring to greater responsibilities in a complex global economy and practitioners and executives seeking renewed vision and new skills for that economy.
Effective teaching and learning, and research advancing business theory and enhancing management practice are essential means to these ends. Our efforts for this achievement consist of a partnership of students, faculty, staff, the business community, and the broader academic community. We seek and value the support and advice of our alumni and the wider business community. We aspire to be an effective and considerate organization for our immediate community.
Whilst our mission is to shape managers by developing management and strong technical skills (including those related to new technologies) we put an emphasize on cultural, economic and human issues to better understand the globalized environment they are to work in. Our pedagogical approach focuses on students learning needs. Teaching is consistently put in relation to practices and needs of businesses.
The UNIGEORGIA (former Tbilisi Teaching University Gorgasali) is an established and highly acknowledged Higher Education Institution that delivers Management, Business and Economics Degree Programmes as well as Law, Philology, and Health Care Programmes, both at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.
It is essential to highlight that UNIGEORGIA is not just a business school but a fully fledged University with a whole variety of subject areas and departments. Georgian Higher Education is fully aligned with the Process of Harmonisation of Higher Education in Europe (Bologna). Hence, our academic Degrees are awarding ECTS Credits.
Our International programmes are taught in English language and administered by our University Institute for International and European Studies (UNIES). They fulfil both academic needs and industry orientation by allowing students to combine their work commitments with flexible study programmes supported by latest virtual learning technology. The careful use and application of education technology and the Internet further enhances our teaching-learning strategies.
